Iran's FM Visits Nakhchivan

Tehran, March 7, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi went to Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan on Tuesday evening to attend the second trilateral meeting of Iran-Turkey-Azerbaijan Republic foreign ministers. According to the report of Foreign Ministry Media Department, Salehi who was in Minsk, capital of Belarus, departed that city for Nakhchivan. The first trilateral meeting of Iran-Turkey-Azerbaijan FMs was held in the Iranian city of Orumieh on April 16, 2011. In that meeting, the three countries, in their final statement, called for joint cooperation in the fields of investment, border issues, customs, transportation and transit, communication, science and technology, tourism, energy, common cultural heritage, fight against terrorism, organized crimes, and drug smuggling. Salehi in his visit to Belarus met with president, prime minister and foreign minister of that country and discussed issues of mutual interest with them./end
