Two M'sian Universities & An Association Collaborate To Produce Al-Quran In Braille

NILAI (Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia), March 12 (Bernama) -- Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), a public university will collaborate with another public university, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Pertis, the Muslim's association for people with disabilities, to produce the al-Quran in Braille for the benefit of people with impaired vision. USIM vice-chancellor Prof Dr Muhamad Muda said the three entities would carry out research into the matter based on their respective expertise. The memorandum of understanding on the initiative was signed here Monday. Dr Muhamad represented USIM, while UTM was represented by its Dean of Mechanical Engineering Faculty, Professor Dr Roslan Abdul Rahman and Pertis by its president Zakaria Yahya. -- BERNAMA
