Indonesian And Malaysian Universities Collaborate In Green Technology Research

JAKARTA, March 17 (Bernama) -- University Surabaya (Ubaya) in East Java is collaborating with University Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) in green technology research. Among others, the research entails solar energy use in households, Green Polymer Concrete to replace use of cement, green chemicals for reducing use of corrosive chemicals in the industrial sector and household recycling and sanitation. The local media here today reported that the two univeristies had signed a memorandum of understanding to the effect in Ubaya, Surabaya. UniMAP was represented by its vice-chancellor Prof Dr Kamarudin Hussin and Proferssors Council chairman Prof Dr Ali Yeon Md Shakaff while Ubaya by its Rector Prof Joniarto Parung, Evaluation and Social Services Panel head Dr Yoan Nursari Simanjuntak and Engineering Faculty Dean Dr Dra Amelia. -- BERNAMA
