20,000 Expected To Take Part In 'Malaysia Global March To Jerusalem'

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- About 20,000 Malaysians are expected to take part in the 'Malaysia Global March to Jerusalem' (MyGMJ) procession at Malawati Stadium, Shah Alam (Selangor) on March 30. MyGMJ chairman Dr Mohd Tahir Abdul Raman said the aim of MyGMJ was to send a clear message that the majority of the people of the world loved peace and demanded independence for Palestine. He was speaking to reporters at the 'flash mob' performance, which reflected the violence of Israel towards Palestine, by 120 students here, Sunday. Meanwhile, MyGMJ delegation head Nor Azmi Talib said a peaceful procession would go Palestine and subsequently to Jerusalem or an area closest to it. "About 20 students from Malaysia will take part in the procession which we expect will travel to Jordan on March 27. "We were informed that more than 1,000 university students from Jordan and Egypt will take part in the procession," he added. (photoBERNAMA) MALAYSIA
