13 Foreign Envoys Present Credentials To King Of Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, March 19 (Bernama) -- Thirteen foreign envoys presented their credentials to King of Malaysia Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah (eighth from right) at the Istana Negara (National Palace) here Monday. Three of them are high commissioners, namely Carlos Agostinho Do Rosario of Mozambique, Sasara Chasala George of Botswana and Lemalu Tate Simi of Samoa. The 10 others are ambassadors, they being Gudmundur Eiriksson (Iceland), Szilveszter Bush (Hungary), Georgis Veis Constantinos (Greece), Ara Hakobyan (Armenia). Yahya Ngam (Mauritania), Jorge Ryder Torres Pereira (Portugal), Dr Ruben Ignacio Zamora Rivas (El Salvador), Vladimir Nicolaevich Lopato-Zagorsky (Belarus), Marc Thill (Luxembourg) and Salaad Ali Ibrahim (Somalia). Twelve of the envoys are non-resident while Salaad Ali is Somalia's first resident ambassador to Malaysia. Salaad Ali, 55, was president of the Somali Ethnic Community Council in Melbourne, Australia, from 2007 to 2011. Malaysian Deputy Foreign Minister Richard Riot anak Jaem and Malaysian Foreign Ministry secretary-general Mohd Radzi Abdul Rahman were also present at the ceremony. (photoBERNAMA) MALAYSIA
