Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 Team Expect Better Performance In Sepang

PEKAN (Pahang, Malaysia), March 21 (Bernama) -- Mercedes AMG Petronas F1 team is looking forward to improve their performance in the upcoming Formula 1 (F1) Championships at Sepang (Malaysia) this weekend despite the failure to obtain a position in the race in Australia last week.
Its chief executive officer Nick Fry said even though drivers Michael Schumacher (picture) and Nico Rosberg faced some problems in last weekend's race, the team was hoping for a better grip and position in Sepang.
"Unfortunately, last weekend Michael (Schumacher) faced gear box problems while Nico (Rosberg) suffered engine problems.
"But the great news is the Mercedes AMG Petronas has very fast cars and should be able to improve in Malaysia and we also hope by end of this season, we can get on the top three as the manufacturer, better than the fourth place finish last year," he told reporters visiting the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia Facilities in Peramu Jaya, Pekan, here Tuesday.
Also present were the team drivers Nico Rosberg, Sam Bird, Mercedes-Benz Motorsport Vice President, Norbert Haug and Petronas Senior General Manager, Corporate Services Division Mohd Medan Abdullah. (photoBERNAMA)
