Nigerian Man To Hang For Drug Trafficking

ALOR SETAR (Kedah, Malaysia), March 28 (Bernama) -- The High Court here sentenced a Nigerian man to death after finding him guilty of drug trafficking two years ago. Judicial Commissioner Mohd Zaki Abdul Wahab meted out the sentence on Wednesday, on Sylvester Okole, 33, who was charged with trafficking cannabis weighing 11,577 grammes at Platform 8, Shahab Perdana bus terminal, here, at 9pm on Oct 7, 2010. The accused, clad in a white T-shirt and black trousers, looked calm when a court interpreter informed him of the sentence. The accused was represented by B. Murthy while prosecution was carried out by Deputy Public Prosecutor Naziah Mokhtar. -- BERNAMA
