Creative Minds Behind Toy Story, Pirates Of Carribean To Attend Summit In KL

KUALA LUMPUR, March 31 (Bernama) -- Creative minds behind popular movies such as Toy Story, Pirates of Caribbean and Tron Legacy will be gathering here for a three-day summit as part of Malaysia's strategy to strengthen its creative talents. To be held from April 6-8, Kreative.Asia 2012 will feature industry leaders and pioneers from various art, entertainment and design industries, said Multimedia Development Corporation (MDeC) in a statement. MDec will organise the summit in collaboration with X Media Lab, which is involved in the professional network and digital media event for the world's creative industries. Participants will be engaging in a series of forums and discussions on various aspects of the creative and animation industry such as creative leadership, interactive story-telling, gamification, branded equipment, digital marketing, concept art and visual design, transmedia, social-location-mobile, producing and pitching and animation and visual effects. Among panelists are Jason Manley, the president of TheArtDepartment.org, who secured and oversaw the delivery of more than 280 entertainment industry projects and numerous blockbuster hits from clients in games, film, toys, social media, comics, television and animation.
