M'sian Firms To Attend Food & Hotel Expo In S'pore
SINGAPORE, April 6 (Bernama) -- Food&HotelAsia2012 (FHA2012), incorporating
five specialised trade shows -- FoodAsia, Bakery&Pastry, HotelAsia,
HospitalityStyleAsia and HospitalityTechnology -- will be held from April 17 to
20 at the Singapore Expo.
Each is distinctively tailored to provide industry professionals with direct
access to the latest products, services and technological solutions.
FHA2012 will serve as an invaluable platform for Malaysian companies to gain
visibility in the foreign market and showcase their products, as well as
establish networks with potential business partners.
Ting Siew Mui, project director of Lifestyle Events from show organiser
Singapore Exhibition Services (SES), says more countries in Asia are
liberalising their markets to facilitate foreign trade, marking an urgent need
for the food service, hospitality and travel industries to enhance their product
offerings and productivity to meet growing demands arising from changing
consumer habits.
"With a remarkable contingent of top quality industry players coming from
across the globe, including Malaysia, it is evident that the five specialised
shows together will present a timely and all-inclusive trading platform for
international sellers and buyers,” she said in a statement here Thursday.
Some 90 local companies have been confirmed as exhibitors, including
Beryl’s Chocolate & Confectionery Sdn Bhd, Federal Oats Mills Sdn Bhd, Figo
Foods Sdn Bhd, HSH Frozen Foods Sdn Bhd, Lucky Food Processing Sdn Bhd, Kim
Shing Machinery Sdn Bhd and the Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority.
This year’s FHA, with an expansion of its exhibition area to an impressive
87,000 square metres spanning nine halls, will be the largest and most
comprehensive yet.
More than 2,600 exhibitors from 65 countries/regions and 52 international
group pavilions will be gathered at one convenient location to receive over
54,000 government, business and trade attendees hailing from over 90
countries/regions.
