Malaysia Airlines Flight Operations Back To Normal

KUALA LUMPUR, April 12 (Bernama) -- Malaysia Airlines has normalized its twice daily flight operations to Phuket Thursday and its services to cities like Colombo, Chennai and Male are on schedule. Malaysia Airlines in a statement here said the passengers of flights MH790 for Kuala Lumpur and MH791 for Phuket/Kuala Lumpur, which was cancelled Wednesday (11 April 2012) due to the closure of Phuket airport, have been accommodated on flights MH786/787 Thursday departing KL International Airport (KLIA) at 0930 hours and Phuket at 1045 hours respectively. Malaysia Airlines upgraded flight MH786/787 Thursday from B737 to Airbus A330 aircraft for this purpose. Althought the tsunami alert has been withdrawn, Malaysia Airlines will continue to monitor the situation and connect with customers if there are further updates.
