Kazakhstan President Returns Home After Two-Day Visit To Malaysia

SEPANG (Selangor, Malaysia), April 19 (Bernama) -- Kazakhstan president Nursultan Nazarbayev returned home after a two-day official visit to Malaysia starting Tuesday. Present at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport's Kompleks Bunga Raya to send him off was Foreign Minister Anifah Aman. This was Nazarbayev's third visit to Malaysia in 16 years which reflected the firm relationship between Malaysia and Kazakhstan. During his visit here, Nazarbayev who had also visited Malaysia in 1996 and 2006, was accompanied by a delegation comprising ministers and senior government officers. Yesterday, Nazarbayev and Prime Minister Najib Razak held a delegation meeting between Kazakhstan and Malaysia where both countries also signed memorandums of understanding in education, mineral resources and tourism. The president also visited the Kazakhstan-Malaysia Trade Exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre which exhibited products and services of several Malaysian companies which helped bridge businesses between companies from both countries. Malaysian King Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah and Queen, Tuanku Hajah Haminah also hosted a dinner at Istana Negara for Nazarbayev last night. (photoBERNAMA) MALAYSIA
