Malaysia, China Keen To Cooperate In Digital Culture Arts - Deputy Minister

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 (Bernama) -- China was keen to work closely with Malaysia in the fields of digital culture and arts, said Information Communication and Culture Deputy Minister Maglin Dennis D'Cruz. He said China had also shown interest in making an animated series based on Malaysia's legendary 'Puteri Hang Li Po' in the near future. He said the matter was conveyed to him by Malaysia-China Friendship Association assistant secretary-general Chin Then Shoong who led a 10-member delegation during a courtesy call at his office here Monday. Also present was the association's finance and investment bureau chairman, Law Hieng Ding. D'Cruz said Chin had conveyed to him that Malaysia and China should hold more meetings to create investment opportunities for both countries' cultural and arts industries, in terms of information technology and digital production. "I am very pleased to see the development in cultural exchange between our countries in the future," he said. -- BERNAMA
