Growing Profitability Of Islamic Wealth Management To Be Discussed At KL Conference

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- Building wealth through Islamic investment instruments will be among issues to be discussed at the 2nd Islamic Financial Planning and Wealth Management Conference here next week. The one-day conference on May 22 will delve into Islamic wealth management's growing market share profitability, as well as promoting Malaysia as the centre of excellence for talent development in Islamic wealth management. Malaysian Deputy Finance Minister Dr Awang Adek Hussin will deliver the keynote address at the conference themed,’ Building Blocks of a Vibrant Wealth Management Industry', organised by the Islamic Banking & Finance Institute Malaysia (IBFIM) and Financial Planning Association of Malaysia (FPAM). Details of the conference can be obtained from www.i-fpc.com. The 2nd Islamic Financial Planning Conference is a sequel to the inaugural IFPC 2009, whose huge success turned Malaysia into an international centre of excellence for Islamic financial planning and wealth management, the organisers said in a statement Tuesday. Growing wealth and an increasing population of Muslim investors in the Asia Pacific and the Middle East, has resulted in a proliferation of syariah compliant financial products and given rise to a host of issues that merit timely attention. The conference provides the platform for key players, professionals, academics and practitioners seeking greater exposure and better understanding of Islamic financial planning and wealth management. Other issues to be discussed at the conference include an update on the regulatory and legal framework for Islamic financial planning and wealth management as well as jurisprudence in Islamic wealth management. -- BERNAMA
