Moderate Earthquake Hits Indian Ocean

KUALA LUMPUR, May 15 (Bernama) -- A moderate earthquake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, hit the north Indian Ocean at 1.19 pm Tuesday, the Malaysian Meteorological Department said. The quake's epicentre was located at 636km southwest of Great Nicobar Island, India, and 1,192km southwest of Langkawi, Kedah, it said in a statement.
