Malaysian Envoy Joins Business Council

By Neville D'Cruz MELBOURNE, May 17 (Bernama) -- More than 55 professionals and business people attended a networking event here organised by the Victorian chapter of the Australian Malaysian Business Council (AMBC) on Wednesday night. Held at the Malaysian-owned multi-million dollar Setia Australia residential and shopping complex, it was also an occasion to introduce Malaysian Consul General Dr Mohd Rameesh as a honourary committee member of AMBC. Dr Rameesh who took up his posting here last July, is keen to enhance trade and investment between Australia and Malaysia and he has been warmly welcomed by AMBC. A highlight of the evening was a cooking demonstration by acclaimed and award winning chef Adam D'Sylva. D'Sylva, of Indian and Italian heritage, has been engaged by Setia to design apartment kitchens at Fulton Lane, the name of the Setia complex here. AMBC Victoria President Mike Anderson said Setia was generous in hosting the event, which was one of the best attended so far. -- BERNAMA
