4,000 Jobs Offered in Conjunction With One Million Youth Gathering

PUTRAJAYA, May 25 (Bernama) -- A total of 4,000 jobs will be offered at the Career Carnival organised by the Human Resource Ministry in conjunction with the One Million Youth Gathering, being held here until Sunday, its minister, Dr S.Subramaniam. He said 35 employers from the private sector were taking part in the carnival with job offers for degree and diploma holders, as well as school leavers. "There will be job interviews and those looking for jobs should bring along the necessary documents," he told reporters after opening a career exhibition here on Friday. In a related development, Subramaniam advised youths not to change jobs often as they would not gain much experience by doing so. "This normally happens among the non-graduates. The reason being low salary, but this is expected to be addressed with the implementation of the policy on minimum salary," he added. -- BERNAMA
