Minority Groups Will Not Be Left Out - Chief Minister

MINORITY GROUPS WILL NOT BE LEFT OUT - CHIEF MINISTER BENTONG (Pahang, Malaysia), May 26 (Bernama) -- Minority groups in the country will not be deprived of aid because the government does not practice discrimination in providing numerous kinds of assistance to the people, said Pahang state Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) Adnan Yaakob. He said this was proven recently when the government approved RM200 million to help the Indian community in economy and education while other communities were also given similar aid. "The Malay, Chinese, Indian communities and numerous minority groups in the country have together built the country and have the right to enjoy the development benefits. "The Barisan Nasional government will continue to help them so they will all be progressive and competitive," Adnan, who is also State Assemblyman for Pelangai, said during a meeting with plantation workers in the constituency, Friday. -- BERNAMA FR
