Youth Wants To Travel To Italy Via Melaka In 51-Year-Old Vespa

By Ahmad Fuad Yahya JAKARTA (Indonesia), May 31 (Bernama) -- A 37-year-old youth from Wirosaban, Yogyakarta plans to travel alone to Italy via Melaka (Malaysia) on his trusty Vespa scooter which is 51 years old. Andy Leeano said he is scheduled to depart from Alun-Alun, North Yogyakarta on Friday (June 1) and head to Bandung, West Java before starting on the journey. From there, he will head to Jakarta before ending his Indonesian part of the journey in Dumai, Riau. "My only sea journey will be from Dumai to Melaka. After that it will be overland all the way," he said when contacted in Yogyakarta. From Malaysia, Andy will travel through Thailand, Myanmar, Nepal, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Turkey and traverse the European continent before reaching his final destination Italy, the birthplace of Vespa scooters. -- BERNAMA
