GROHE Sees Business in Malaysia Growing

KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- GROHE, a leading provider of premium bathroom and kitchen fittings, is eyeing a 60 per cent sales growth this year for its Malaysian business, driven by the group's efforts in strengthening its presence in the country. Its Asia Pacific President Bijoy Mohan said the company's products need to be available, seen and experienced, and only then, will demand start to build up. "Asia is the fastest growing business for GROHE. We have been growing more than 320 per cent over the last four years, and this has become 30 per cent of our global business," he told a press conference at the launch of the GROHE Live Centre (GLC) Thursday. The newly-launched 325.16 square metres (3,500 square feet) GLC, provides architects, designers, developers and visitors the support, advice and opportunity to immerse themselves in products for kitchen and bathroom fittings. Currently, there are only four other GLCs in the world, namely, in Singapore, Mumbai, Beijing and New York, and the group also plans to launch the centre in Ho Chi Minh next month as well as in Jakarta, Milan and London next year. GROHE Malaysia Managing Director, Villy Lee said the company plans to add another six showrooms, to make it 66 by year-end, with distributorships at three currently. -- BERNAMA
