1,000 Asean Tourists to Witness Quran Recital Assembly

Ahmad Fuad Yahya JAKARTA, June 29 (Bernama) -- A thousand tourists from five Asean countries are targetted to visit Kuala Lumpur during the International Tilawah Al-Quran 2012 (Quran Recital Assembly) to held in July at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC). Tourism Malaysia director for Jakarta, Nor Aznan Sulaiman said Tourism Malaysia in collaboration with the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (Jakim) was promoting religious tour package in Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand and Philippines for the purpose. He said a special three-day/two-night package would be on offer to draw the vistors. The tourists would also enjoy some incentives such as dinner vouchers worth RM50 (US$15.65) per person at PWTC, lunch after religious talks, special sitting and free entrance to the Islamic Museum, he added. -- BERNAMA
