10 Countries Confirm Participation in MAHA Exhibition

SEREMBAN (Negeri Sembilan,Malaysia), July 2 (Bernama) -- Ten countries have so far confirmed their participation in the Malaysian Agriculture, Horticulture and Agro-Tourism (MAHA) International Exhibition which will be held at the Malaysia Agro Exposition Park Serdang (Maeps) in Serdang from Nov 23 to Dec 2. Agriculture and Agro-based Industry Minister Noh Omar said they were Afghanistan, Vietnam, Singapore, Korea, India, Qatar, United Arab Emirates (UAE), Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka and China. Speaking to reporters after closing the Negeri Sembilan MAHA 2012 in conjunction with the state-level Farmers, Breeders and Fishermen Day here on SUnday, he said the biennial exhibition would not only generate direct sales, but also open up new market for products. "We hope more local exhibitors will benefit from business matching with foreign entrepreneurs at the exhibition," he said. Meanwhile, Noh said his ministry would carry out promotions of the ministry's 16 Entry Point Projects under its National Key Result Area. -- BERNAMA
