M'sian DPM Attends Floria Putrajaya 2012

PUTRAJAYA, July 3 (Bernama) - Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin Monday night attended the decorated boat parade and fireworks display in conjunction with Flower and Park Festival Putrajaya (Floria 2012). The event scheduled to start at 9pm was delayed for about 30 minutes due to heavy rainfall accompanied by strong winds. The bad weather did not stop a big crowd from joining Muhyiddin who was accompanied by his wife Norainee Abdul Rahman. The parade involved 15 floats representing government agencies and statutory bodies and two entries from overseas, namely China and Kenya. Also present were Tourism Minister Dr Ng Yen Yen, Putrajaya Corporation president Samsudin Osman and first secretary of the Cultural Office of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia, Gao Wei.
