Rainforest World Craft Bazaar 2012 promises to be resounding success

KUCHING, July 5 (Bernama) -- The fourth edition of the Rainforest World Craft Bazaar or RWCB 2012 to be held at the Sarawak Cultural Village in Santubong from July 13 to 15 promises to be a resounding success by drawing artesans from around the globe and over 20,000 music enthusiasts. Event director Heidi Munan said this year's bazaar, themed "Living Crafts" will once again feature as an important fringe event to the renowned Rainforest World Music Festival, now in its 15th year, to be staged at the same venue simultaneously. "We have confirmed 43 booths so far, having drawn exhibitors and artesans from Uzbezkistan, Laos, Korea, Ghana as well as Singkawan in West Kalimantan, Indonesia and from the country," Heidi said. The booths are being housed in and around Borneo traditional dwellings and provide visitors opportunity to try their hand at a variety of arts, crafts and creativity-focused activities, apart from taking part in exhibition sales. -- BERNAMA
