Hyundai Elantra Named 'Car Of The Year' At Auto Awards Ceremony

SUBANG JAYA (Selangor, Malaysia), July 12 (Bernama) -- The Hyundai Elantra was named the "Car of the Year" at the Fifth Annual Asian Auto Allianz Auto Industry Awards 2012 ceremony, here on Wednesday night. The Proton Preve bagged the award for the Best Locally Assembled Family Car while the Perodua Myvi 1.5 took the limelight in the Best Locally Assembled Compact Car category. In others awards presented, the Merdedes SLK was the winner for the Best Performance Luxury Sports Car. Awards were presented for the Best Performance, Best Locally Assembled and Best Value For Money Vehicles. Asian Auto Chief Editor, Daniel Fernandez told a media conference the top auto awards ceremony involved test-driving some of the best vehicles available over the past 12 months.
