M'sian Pm Announces 15,000 Tickets At US$3 Each For Malaysia VS Manchester City Match

KUALA LUMPUR, July 14 (Bernama) -- Some 15,000 tickets for the football match between Malaysia and Manchester City, at a price of RM10 each (US$3), will be made available at designated booths throughout the 1Malaysia For Youth (1M4U) event at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) this Sunday. Prime Minister Najib Razak who announced this on his Facebook and Twitter pages said that a significant part of the proceeds would go to charity. "Following a statement issued by MCFC (Manchester City Football Club), I am pleased to announce that Malaysian football fans will have the opportunity to watch the match between Malaysia and Manchester City Football Club at a special price. "As a start, I have requested that 15,000 tickets be made available at the designated booths throughout the 1M4U event at KLCC this Sunday. The price of ticket is capped at RM10 each. See you there!," he said on his latest Facebook posting here today. The friendly match will start at 9.45pm on July 30 at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil here. Earlier, MCFC in a statement said the charitable initiative for the match would see sixty per cent of proceeds from ticketing donated entirely to Yayasan 1Malaysia Development Berhad (1MDB). -- BERNAMA
