Iran Holds Major Position In Int'l Politics: Analyst

Islamabad, July 15, IRNA – Pakistani independent analyst on Saturday said that Iran is an important country in the world and enjoys strong position in the politics of the Persian Gulf.
Talking to IRNA, Prof. Dr Hasan Askari Rizvi said that US is trying to isolate Iran over its refusal to roll-back peaceful nuclear program.
“So far US is not able to succeed in stopping Iran from pursuing nuclear program though they are applying pressure of bilateral sanctions on Iran,” he said.
To question he said Iran is supportive of Syrian government and has been enjoying strong relations with Syria so Iran can be helpful in finding the peaceful solution to the problem of Syria.
He said the crisis of Syria must be solved so that the Western states and US could get no excuse to step in the politics of Middle East.
“Iran and the states of region should work together and solve the crisis of Syria,” advised the analyst.
Dr Hasan Askari Rizvi expressing his views said that sometimes there are reports that US and Israel are behind the killings of Iran scientists to upset the nuclear program of Iran.
“So I cannot rule out the possibility of US and Israeli involvement in the killings of Iranian scientists,” said the analyst.
He was of the view that if those countries which buy oil from Iran strictly follow sanctions, it would create problems for them. “Therefore they have to think several times before stopping to buy oil from Iran,” he viewed.
Dr Rizvi said European countries will consider their own interests before taking any decision on Iranian oil.
“They want to ensure that oil comes to them uninterrupted and the Islamic Republic is the major supplier of oil to Europe,” he added.
Hasan Askari Rizvi is a scholar of international repute. His articles regularly appear both in National as well as International Academic Journals, Popular Magazines and daily Newspapers./end
