Indonesia, Singapore Conclude Joint Counter-Terrorism Exercise

SINGAPORE, July 17 (Bernama) -- The Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Indonesian National Defence Forces (TNI) on Monday concluded a 3-day joint counter-terrorism exercise in Singapore. Chief of Defence Force Lieutenant-General Neo Kian Hong and Commander-in-Chief of TNI Admiral Agus Suhartono officiated the closing ceremony at the Lim Chu Kang training area in the morning. Neo said the success of the exercise was "due to the collective effort and strong contributions from both militaries." On his part Suhartono said the exercise had motivated and encouraged the two countries to fully understand the various aspects of counter-terrorism. About 150 personnel from the SAF and the TNI participated in the exercise. -- BERNAMA
