FM Pursuing Case Of Abducted Iranians In Syria : MP

Tehran, Aug 5, IRNA – A member of Majlis said Sunday that Iran's Foreign Ministry is following up the case of kidnapped Iranian pilgrims in Damascus, Syria. Kazem Jalali, a member of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, said the Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi has had telephone conversations with his Turkish and Syrian counterparts to examine the case. Talking to reporters after the Sunday open session of Majlis, Jalali said the abducted pilgrims had traveled to Syria individually not through Iran's official sites. Some 48 Iranian pilgrims were kidnapped by armed people on Sunday on their way to their hotel from the holy shrine of Hazrat Zeinab (SA), the beloved sister of Imam Hossein (AS)./end
