Oil minister: NAM meeting to have fruitful outcome for Iran

Tehran, Aug 31, IRNA – Oil Minister Rostam Qassemi said the 16th Non-Aligned Movement Summit in Tehran has been of very good consequences for Tehran. He said Tehran’s hosting the meeting paved the way for expansion of bilateral and multi-lateral relations with other member states of the movement. Talking to reporters at the sidelines of the Friday morning meeting of the Summit, he said during the numerous meetings with leaders of NAM member states, the Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has also discussed the issue of energy. In meetings with Pakistani president and Indian prime minister, President Ahmadinejad reviewed the issue of transferring Iranian gas and oil to those countries, the minister noted. Qassemi stressed that despite all sanctions, Iran has been experiencing good progress in its oil industry. He further announced that all Iranian oil projects are currently active.
