Hamdan bin Zayed meets King of Jordan

Amman: Sept 3, 2012 (WAM) - His Majesty King Abdullah II on Sunday received His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the ruler's representative in the Western region of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent, who conveyed to His Majesty greetings of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Sheikh Hamdan also conveyed to King Abdullah greetings of Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Gen. His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. Jordan News Agency (PETRA) said King Abdullah voiced his pride in Jordanian-UAE ties, stressing keenness to forge closer cooperation with the UAE in various fields. He also thanked the UAE for supporting Jordan in hosting Syrian refugees and providing them with humanitarian assistance. The King valued the UAE's role in offering humanitarian and medical aid to Syrian refugees in the Kingdom. He asked Sheikh Hamdan to pass on his greetings to Sheikh Khalifa, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed and his best wishes to them. Sheikh Hamdan hailed Jordan's continued efforts to provide services to displaced Syrians and facilitate the mission of UAE medical teams. The meeting was attended by UAE Ambassador to Jordan Dr Abdullah Nasser Sultan Al Ameri, Acting Under Secretary of the Ruler Representative Court Sultan bin Khalfan Al Romaithi, Board Chairman of the UAE Red Crescent Authority (RCA) Ahmed Humaid Al Mazrouei and Secretary General of the RCA Dr Mohammed Atiq Al Falahi.
