Shoura Council Chairman holds meeting

Riyadh, October 19, SPA--Shoura Council Chairman Dr. Saleh bin
Abdullah bin Homaid met here today with a delegation of French
mayors, currently on a visit to the Kingdom, headed by Jean-Claude
Fortuih.

During the meeting, Dr. bin Homaid pointed to the strong relations
between the Kingdom and France in various domains, especially
parliamentary relations.
On the other hand, a number of members of the Council's Committee of
Security Affairs and Committee of Foreign Affairs held here today a
meeting with a delegation of the British Royal College of Defense
Studies, currently on a visit to the Kingdom, headed by Admiral
Charles Style, the Commander of the College.
The meeting discussed several issues of common concern between the
two countries, especially in the field of security and military
cooperation, as well as the enhancement of cooperation and academic,
scientific and technical communication between the Kingdom and the
British side in the field of military sciences.
