HE Qatar's Ambassador to Japan Hosts Lunch Banquet to HE ACTA Chairman

Tokyo, September 28 (QNA) - Qatar's Ambassador to Japan HE Yousef Bin Mohammad Bilal, hosted here on Friday a lunch Banquet in honour of HE Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, the Chairman of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority (ACTA), who is also head of Qatar-Japan Joint Higher Committee on the occasion of his current visit to Japan to attend Qatar Ferjaan week, which kicked off earlier Thursday. In an inaugural speech on this occasion, HE Mohammad Bilal praised the success of Qatar-Japan cooperation and partnerships attributing this success to HE Al Attiyah in his capacity as the head of Qatar-Japan Joint Higher Committee and hailed meantime His Excellency's constant devoted efforts over extended years to maintain bilateral relations. HE Qatar's ambassador noted that the Qatar Ferjaan week, which reflects Qatari splendid culture, is an opportunity to fellow Japanese to get introduced to Qatar and to pave the way for a new phase of genuine work and deeper strategic partnerships between the two countries. The banquet was attended by a number of their Excellencies ambassadors and heads of missions of the GCC states and other Arab countries accredited to Japan, in addition to HE Al Attiyah's accompanying delegation. The five-day festival is taking place in Tokyo to celebrate the Gulf country's 40th anniversary of relations with Japan, noted HE Al Attiyah . The ''Qatar Ferjaan Week in Tokyo’’, is being organised by Qatar Museums Authority (QMA). The opening ceremony was attended by Princess Takamado, a member of the Japanese Imperial Palace, Qatar's Ambassador to Qatar HE Yusuf Bin Mohamed Bilal, members of the delegation accompanying HE the chairman of ACTA together with a number of the Japanese government senior officials and others of QMA. It is worth to mention that Princess Takamado is the widow of The Prince Takamado (born 29 December 1954, died 21 November 2002), the third son of the Prince and the Princess Mikasa and a first cousin of Emperor Akihito. The princess was born 10 July 1953, the daughter of Shigejiro Tottori. Princess Takamado who married the Prince, originally known as Prince Norihito of Mikasa, on 6 December 1981, has three daughters. (QNA)
