Government approved draft of migration program "Nurly Kosh"

Astana, 22 October 2008, (Khabar) - This program helps the Kazakhstani
citizens who recently moved to Kazakhstan. The program supposes settling of
people in economically perspective regions and successful realization of 30
breakthrough projects needs 390 000 people. New Kazakhstani citizens and
those who live in depressive regions will be suggested to move to larger
cities with high potential of development and frontier regions. The state
budget will allocate 170 billion tenge for the realization of program "Nurly
Kosh" and re settlers will receive preferential.

Berdibek Saparbayev, Minister of Labour and Social Protection of Population
of RK:
- The current social payments for repatriates are preserved and their
dwelling issue will be settled with the help of credit through local
executive bodies, Zhistroisberbank for 4 % for 15 years , the initial
payment is 5%, and land lots will be given to them.
