PRESIDENT YUDHOYONO TO DISCUSS TANGGUH CONTRACT WITH HU JINTAO

Beijing, Oct 23 (ANTARA) - Visiting Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono is to meet his Chinese counterpart Hu Jintao at the Great Hall of the People here on Thursday to discuss Tangguh contract.

The two heads of state would renegotiate Tangguh block liquefied natural gas (LNG) contract between Indonesia and Fujian province in China.

According to a schedule the bilateral meeting between President Yudhoyono and President Hu Jintao would start at 9:30 until 9:50 local time on Thursday morning.

Besides bilateral meeting with Hu, President Yudhoyono is also scheduled to meet with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen at 4 in the afternoon and with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien-Loong at 4:30.

At 10:30 in the morning President Yudhoyono will attend the closing ceremony of the 11th Asia Europe Business meeting at China World Hotel, and at 1 p.m. the president will give a lecture at Peking University.

The Indonesian president is also scheduled to hold a business meeting with Chinese businessmen and China Exim Bank officials.

President Yudhoyono is on a five-day visit to China, from October 22 to 26, 2008, among other things to attend the Seventh Asian-European Meeting (ASEM).
