TENS OF HOUSES GUTTED BY FIRE IN JATINEGARA
Jakarta, Oct. 23 (ANTARA) - Tens of houses and shops were gutted by fire in front of Jatinegara Market, East Jakarta, on Thursday at around 8 am local time.
"We were alerted by local residents at 8.15 am Western Indonesia Time," Rubani, an officer of the East Jakarta Fire Brigade, said here on Thursday.
The brigade sent 13 fire trucks to help extinguish the blaze, he said.
The fire was caused by a stove that exploded.
