‘Since U.S. raids on Iraq and Afghanistan EU has had no independent foreign policy’

TEHRAN,Nov.4(MNA) – Iranian former foreign minister Manouchehr Mottaki said that since the United States’ military attack on Afghanistan and Iraq, the European Union has not had an independent foreign policy and become subservient to the U.S. Speaking to the Persian service of the Mehr News Agency on Saturday, Mottaki said before the U.S. presence in the region in 2001, some European countries, including Britain and France, adopted an independent foreign policy, but now the EU is not playing a positive role in resolving regional problems.
