PRESIDENT MEETS WILLIAM HAGUE

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The President Ts.Elbegdorj received on Monday Mr William J.Hague, the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, during the 9th Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) Summit in Vientiane, Laos. The dignitaries have shared views on the Mongolia-Britain relations and on investments with multilateral participation. The State Head talked about reforms Mongolia has made within its chairmanship of the Community of Democracies (CoD), and how Mongolia shares its experience with those countries recently transmitted into democracy, including Kyrgyzstan, and supports them in lines of the CoD. He said his country wants to give food assistance to the North Korea through the United Nations' programme of foods. It was appreciated by Mr Hague. Mr Elbegdorj noted that the 50th anniversary of the Mongolia-UK bilateral diplomatic relations will be celebrated next year, and invited Mr Hague to the 7th Ministerial Conference of the CoD scheduled on July 29 of 2013 in Ulaanbaatar.
