Sirjan Special Economic Zone Exports Products Worth 33 md

Sirjan, Kerman province, Nov 7, IRNA – Director of Sirjan Special Economic Zone said that in the first seven months of the Iranian year products worth 33 million dollars was exported to the United Arab Emirates, Germany, India, Iraq, Afghanistan, Turkey and Russia.
Hamid Shahsavari told reporters on Tuesday that 10 thousand tons of production of the zone, including shoes, pigments, cooking oil, motor oil and herbal fragrant products were exported.
He added in the same period of time 15 thousand tons of raw materials was imported from the European countries and China to the zone.
Shahsavari continued that investment in the Special Economic Zone is now more than six billion dollars and two thousand and 200 people are working in 32 active plants in the zone.
He said that with investment of private sector and government assistance plants producing furniture foam, cookies, biscuits as well as greenhouses complexes and sport complex are going to be commissioned in the first half of the next Iranian year./end
