TRILATERAL AGREEMENT PRESENTED TO PREMIER

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Trilateral National Committee on Labour and Social Agreement introduced on Thursday to the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag and cabinet members an updated trilateral agreement on labour and social agreement.
Representing the government, the United Association of Mongolian Employers (UAME) and Mongolia's Trade Unions (MTU), the agreement is to be adopted for the sixth time by the State Great Khural.
“For the first ever time we are received by the Premier and his cabinet,” the UAME president L.Nyamsambuu noted and then said a realization mechanism of the agreement has not been good enough although the three sides started the collaboration from 1990s. The vice president of the MTU D.Amgalanbaatar said the updated agreement has a clause about a national programme on right labour which was worked out two years ago, and asked the cabinet to pay attention to adopting this programme by parliament.
The main purpose of the trilateral agreement is to ensure the social stability, for example, not just to add salaries of state servants by 20-30 per cent but to accord it with inflation rate and economic growth. In addition, the sides considered that the private sector should use a special policy on salaries in case of augmenting salaries of state servants.
The National Committee also noted that most of works to be done by the agreement are reflected in the new cabinet's programme.
In response, the Premier said the next week's cabinet meeting will approve the trilateral contract on labour and social agreement.
