AMENDMENTS TO LAWS ON PARLIAMENT AND ITS SESSION'S REGIME WILL BE CONSIDERED

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ On Friday, a plenary meeting of the parliamentary session backed a proposal that draft amendments to the laws on the State Great Khural and on parliamentary session's regime, submitted by the State Head, must be discussed. The amendments say, for example, that political party or coalition that gains eight and more seats at the State Great Khural does not have to submit to a Speaker within 24 hours its decision on setting up a faction and a list of the faction's members. In other words, the time limitation of submitting the decision is erased. Other changes are made in a regulation of implementing parliamentary faction/political party/coalition's rights, in matter of chairing parliament until selecting the Speaker, in quota of Standing committees' members, in clarifying a legal regulation of the Speaker's Secretariat and in others.
