INSURANCE SECTOR IN STATISTICS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ In the first ten months of this year, 687 thousand people were registered as the insured. Of them, 464.6 thousand or 67.6 per cent were from the establishments, and 222.4 thousand or 32.4 per cent from the government budgetary organizations (GBOs). Compared to same period of 2011, the number of insured increased 80.5 thousand or 13.3 per cent--69.2 thousand or 17.5 per cent from establishments, and 11.4 thousand or 5.4 per cent from GBOs. Social welfare pensions and benefits were given to 60.6 thousand people, increasing 3.7 thousand people or 6.6 per cent; a total amount of the allocated fund increased MNT 26.2 billion or 91.0 per cent against the same period of the previous year.
