DISASTERS AND ACCIDENTS IN FIGURES

Ulaanbaatar,Mongolia /MONTSAME/ Three thousand 367 disasters and accidents occurred in the ten months of 2012. As a result, 208 people died and 12.2 thousand livestock were lost. There were 2,878 structure fires, 218 forest fires and wildfires, 93 accidental drowning and submersion incidents, 34 heavy rain and floods, 30 animal madness diseases, 24 incidents related to artisan mining rock falls, 20 severe storms, 16 thunders, 14 cases of malignant anthrax, and 10 emergency calls related to chemical substances usage. A damage caused by these disasters and accidents amounted to 91.4 billion togrog. Compared to the same period of 2011, the cases of disasters and accidents increased by 411. Ch.Enkhtuya
