BOXER P.SERDAMBA RETIRES

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A State Honored Sportsman and boxer Serdamba Purevdorj has retired from his sports career. He announced it after being elected the secretary-general of Mongolia's Olympic Boxing Federation (MOBF) at its meeting of Governing Council on Monday. This meeting concluded works done in the Olympic circulation of 2008-2012, and discussed success of Mongolian boxers competed in the London 2012 Olympic Games, and further works. In the London Summer Olympics, the Mongolian boxers grabbed one silver and one bronze medals, it was not poor success, members of the Governing Council say. In addition, the MOBF president Ch.Ganzorig and the vice president Ts.Enkhbat have been freed from the posts at their requests. Pursuant to the Governing Council, a director of the "Erdenet" Mining Corporation Ch.Ganzorig has been appointed the Federation's honorary president. A parliamentarian O.Sodbileg has been elected the new president of the MPBF. The new secretary-general P.Serdamba is the very first World champion of Mongolia for amateur boxing and is a winner of silver medal of the Beijing Olympic Games. B.Khuder
