SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE ON CHINGIS KHAAN RUNS

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The international conference themed “Chingis Khaan and Globalization” started November 14 in frames of the 850th anniversary of the Great Chingis Khaan. It has been organized by the Ministry of Foreign affairs, History Institute of Academy of Sciences and a jubilee organizing commission by initiative of Mongolia's Academy of Sciences. The president of the Academy of Sciences B.Enkhtuvshin addressed the gathered 80 Mongolian and foreign scientists, Mongolists and researchers, then the Prime Minister N.Altankhuyag took the floor. He underlined,"The fact that we speak the Mongolian means that Chingis Khaan is still alive among us, the fact that we write in the Mongolian means that Chingis Khaan will awake again." The first report “Chingis Khaan is the father of globalization” was given by a head of international association of Mongolian Studies, Hero of Labor Prof. Sh.Bira, then a scholar from the USA Timothy May delivered a report “Chingis Khaan's exchange: Chingis Khaan and international factors”.
