OAKLAND CELEBRATES CHINGIS KHAAN'S BIRTHDAY

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ A sport and culture event ran in Oakland, the USA, on November 17. It has been organized by the General consulate of Mongolia in San Francisco, an association of San Francisco-based Mongolians and “Ger” center, Oakland, in frames of the 850th birth anniversary of Great Chingis Khaan. Many measures were organized, for example, a chess tournament, in which vice-grand master B.Bulgan became the first, a children's performance of the Mongolian songs and dances, a painting competition in three themes “Mongol Land”, ”Childhood of Temuujin” and “The Mongolian Empire”.
