LOCAL ELECTIONS START

Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia /MONTSAME/ The Elections of Citizens Representative Khurals of aimags, soums and the city's districts is running November 21 between 7 am and 22 pm nationwide. The Mongolians are to form the self-governing organizations by their delegates. Nationwide, there are 23 thous.state officials--accredited officials of the civil registration, security, info technologies, and managers--who are working at two thous.370 election stations. One million 862 thous. 500 voters have been registered, they are to go to two thous.10 polling stations, equipped with two thous.500 automatic machines that register and count voting papers. There are 19 thous. 400 candidatures--from seven parties and two coalitions and independent participants. Extra money are issued for some provinces due to heavy snow.
