Lecture on Doha Securities Market

Doha, November 25 (QNA) - Department of Finance and Economics at Qatar University's Faculty of Business and Economics has organized an introductory lecture on the Doha Securities Market and its trading conditions, with teaching staff from the faculty attending. The lecture, delivered over two days, dealt with a number of important themes including the historical context and development of the financial market in Qatar, laws regulating the work of companies within the market, concepts related to capital, stocks and bonds, relationship between Qatar's economy to the global economy, the impact of the global crisis on Qatar's economy. Financial expert at Qatar Stock Exchange Market Dr. Mohammed Qaddura spoke in detail about buying and selling, payment method, calculation of commission and mechanism of Qatari market index calculation.
