Iran Navy To Unveil Sina-7 Heavyweight Torpedoes

Tehran, Nov. 27, IRNA –- The Islamic Republic of Iran Navy will unveil Sina-7 heavyweight torpedoes on Wednesday. The modern torpedoes carry high precision guided missiles. Commander of Iran's Navy Rear-Admiral Habibollah Sayyari told a press conference that on Wednesday, marking the Navy Day, two stages of manufacturing heavy torpedoes carrying high precision guided missiles and their operational stage of will be unveiled. He said second phase of the project for development of Sahand destroyer, whose main structure was launched mid September, will be unveiled too. The Commander said that Iran is ready to hold war games, more extensive than Velayat 90 exercise. He did not specify the date and location of the war games. He said that the Navy has a close watch on all navy fleet of the regional and trans-regional states ferrying the Persian Gulf, Strait of Hormuz and Oman Sea.
