CITY ADOPTS ITS BUDGET FOR 2013

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ At its regular 6th meeting on Friday, the Citizens' Representative Khural of Ulaanbaatar discussed and adopted important documents such as the city's budget for the next year, the socio-economic goals for the city, a list of properties to be privatized, an action report of the city's audit department and a plan of land management for 2013. The meeting approved a request from the Ministry of Population's Development and Social Welfare on ownership of lands as well. The budget's main objectives are to improve living environment for the city's residents and to slacken a centralization, and it has been worked out after openly reporting it to people and running many discussions in the Civil Hall. According to the list of properties to be privatized, some buildings owned by the city have been eliminated for the privatization by major votes. In addition, a total of 409 works have been divided into eight sections in the plan of land management. A head of the Citizens' Representative Khural D.Battulga mentioned about approval of the 2013 budget of the city, and said the City Mayor and governors of the districts should promptly enter their works after approving a resolution of the Citizens' Representative Khural.
