MONGOLIA'S DIPMISSION DECORATES ITS TREE

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ A Diplomatic mission of Mongolia to the Republic of Singapore has decorated a Christmas tree. It has been growing in the Singaporean botanical garden and is named after Mongolia. It is traditional for all dipmissions ceremony in this country but our diplomats have done it for the fisrt time although the tree was planted and named as such in 2002. The Singapore Botanical garden is one of beautiful gardens in the world. It was founded in 1859 by an Agri-Horticultural Society, and was later handed over to the government for maintenance. From an ornamental garden with roads, terraces, a bandstand and even a small zoo, it has come a long way in evolving into a leading equatorial botanic garden of 63 hectares. An Orchid garden is the main attraction within the Botanic Garden. Located on the mid-western side of the Garden, the hilly three-hectare site has a collection of more than 1,000 species and 2,000 hybrids of orchids. Ch.Enkhtuya
